Regular performances provide a platform for our choristers to showcase their growth and share the beauty of music with the community. This thoughtfully designed cycle of learning, practicing, and performing builds resilience and artistic excellence in every young singer.

Carlos Cardona
Artistic Director & Founder
Southeastern Connecticut Youth Chorale co-founder Carlos Cardona conducts the choir and serves the Artistic Director for SCYC. As a voice teacher and music educator in both private studio and collegiate settings, Carlos has committed to nurturing confident, expressive singers by fostering, healthy, vocal technique, strong, musicianship, and a solid technical foundation. Carlos also serves the general manager for a local music school in Madison, Connecticut in addition to teaching voice and ukulele lessons for students ages 5-18+ at his music studio, Cardona Studio.
Gabriella Cardona
Executive Director & Founder
Southeastern Connecticut Youth Chorale co-founder and Executive Director Gabriella Cardona serves as pianist for the choir. As a Connecticut native, she is passionate about inspiring young musicians and expanding access to music education by creating opportunities for children. Gabriella also teaches private voice and piano lessons for students ages 5–18+ at her music studio, Cardona Studio.
